Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), Ministry of Railways has uploaded all the relevant study material and examination pattern on the official website of RRB. As mentioned on the official recruitment advertisement for the same, the Board will be conducting the examination on 15th June 2014.
RRB Loco Pilot & Technician Recruitment 2014 Examination paper pattern
There will be 100 – 120 MCQ questions in the examination. Unlike other examinations, there will be only and only one paper. The duration of the paper will be 90 mins (1 ½ Hours). There will be 4 mediums of the paper, Urdu, Hindi, English and local language of the specific state. Each question will be of 1 marks. For every right answer, the candidate will be awarded 1 marks, whereas for a wrong answer, a total of 1/3 marks will be cut down.
RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Syllabus 2014 Examination
The questions in the examination will precisely cover below mentioned topics
i. General Awareness
iii. General Intelligence and reasoning
iv. General Science and relevant technical ability
Technical part of examination will test a person’s knowledge on the tops mentioned below:
Dimension, thermo dynamics, energy, heat, materials, automation engineering, applied mechanics, production engineering, and metal handling.
Power Plant turbine & boiler, IC Engines, Machine design, system theory, IC engines, Materials applying motion, heat transfer and thermo dynamics.
Rolls, cables, transfer, AC & DC currents, an alternative system single phase motor, three phase motor system.
iv. Electronics and Communication
Digital Electronics, Transistor, n/wing & industrial electronics, semiconductor physics, and radio communication system
v. English, grammar, sentences, tenses, voices, articles, synonyms and antonyms
vi. Logical and Verbal Reasoning
